Press & Features — Gina Palmerin (La Gina)
Bio
Gina Palmerin (La Gina) is a Los Angeles based artist creating contemporary figurative paintings where emotion meets design, bold portraiture layered with modern abstraction for elevated interiors.
Statement
My work explores portraiture as memory; icons, muses, and intimate figures reframed through abstraction. I build each piece in layers: decisive drawing, fragmented form, and palettes that balance earthy depth with saturated accents. The goal is psychological presence, paintings that hold a room from across the space, then reveal tenderness, texture, and story up close.
