Created as the featured artwork for the 2nd Annual Fallbrook Wine Festival, The Offering marks Gina Palmerin’s return as the festival’s Featured Artist in 2026.
The large-scale painting centers on a stylized female figure holding a vessel, surrounded by forms suggestive of fruit, leaves, and the abundance of the harvest. Geometric planes, expressive linework, and saturated passages of wine, olive, ochre, clay, and electric pink move through the composition, balancing strength with femininity.
At its center is the vessel, both an object being carried and a symbol of what we hold within ourselves. The surrounding harvest becomes more than a reference to season or place. It speaks to cultivation, generosity, and the things we choose to nurture before releasing them into the world.
At the heart of the work is the gesture of offering: what we cultivate, what we carry, and what we choose to give.
Created specifically for its debut at the Fallbrook Wine Festival, The Offering connects the traditions of harvest and gathering with themes that recur throughout Palmerin’s work: the female figure, identity, strength, ritual, and transformation.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of The Offering will benefit D’Vine Path, the festival’s nonprofit partner, which empowers adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities through vocational training, life skills, and meaningful opportunities within the community.
