My work today centers on abstract figurative painting — layered acrylic and mixed media pieces exploring identity, memory, spirituality, and human connection, often drawing on mythology, architecture, and dreams. My most recent piece, *Faces, Vessel and Thread*, is an acrylic and gold leaf work that explores memory and ancestry through overlapping faces and vessel forms tied together by a single thread of gold.
Back in 2020, in the early days of my practice, I was working on an icon-inspired portrait series that included this Frida Kahlo piece. During the pandemic, I turned it into a free coloring page to share something creative during a hard time for everyone.
It's a small piece from an earlier chapter, but I like keeping it here — a record of where the work started.
